The Reading Room

The Reading Room is where the club works. Long oak tables, low lamps, and a library built from members’ own shelves — every volume donated, inscribed, and argued over. The quiet here is social, not enforced: people keep it because they want it kept.

Mornings are for heads-down work and strong coffee from the counter. After six the laptops close, the lamps come down, and the room turns to reading, talks and the occasional roundtable. Phones live in your pocket; calls live on the stairs.

How members use it

Book a table for deep work, meet a collaborator under the archive wall, or claim the armchair by the window that everyone pretends isn’t the best seat in the club.
